CERAMICS CHINA 2008
Ceramics China is back from May 21st to 24th, the most important event of the Asian continent for the technologies and raw materials for ceramic industry. Organized by Unifair Exhibition Service with the support of China Ceramic Industrial Association and CCPIT, Building Materials Sub-Council and sponsored by China National Light Industry Council, China Building Materials Industrial Association, the fair will be held in the Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center and should occupy an exhibition area of over 55,000 sqm.
The Gruppo Colorobbia will attend the fair with its own exhibition space (Stand C 103-1).
COVERINGS 2008
The ceramic sector will be represented at the Coverings 2008, the appointment is in Orlando, Florida (U.S.A), from 29th April to 2nd May. For almost twenty years, Coverings has been the most predominant event for the ceramic tile and natural stone industry in the North America. Year after year, visitors from every facet of the tile and stone industry find Coverings to be the most important event to see thousands of new products, new suppliers from around the globe and new information presented for the very first time to help them grow their business. If it's new in tile and stone, it's at Coverings.
MOSBUILD 2008
MOSBUILD, the 13th International Fair of Construction will take place in Moscow from 3rd to 6th at the fair districts of Expocentr and Crocus Expo. This is one of the most significant moments of meeting the construction industry and construction in Russia, where will be represented in a comprehensive overview of all building materials. This year more than 2500 companies will participate in MOSBUILD. Manufacturers and suppliers from Russia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, UK, Denmark, Spain, Italy, China, Korea, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia, Turkey, Finland, France, Switzerland and other countries will present their products at the exhibition. Total space of the exposition will be more than 120000 sqm.
The Gruppo Colorobbia will attend the fair in Pavilion 5, Hall 1, Stand I 137.
Revestir, the Granite, Marble and Ornamental Stone Exhibition, will open its doors from 11 to 14 March 2008 in São Paulo (Brasil). At Revestir, the trends and launches of ceramic tiles, stones, laminates, carpets, glass and other solutions are shown to thousands of professionals and buyers. Brasil is one of the world´s largest producer and consumer of covering materials and São Paulo is the center of the Brazilian economy.
CONFERENCE ON RAW MATERIAL
The winter appointment of 2008 on raw materials, which addressed the theme: "Raw materials for high quality tiles and their controls" was held on February 21th 2008 at the conference room of Confindustria Ceramica in Sassuolo.
The event, organized by Faenza Editrice, saw the discussion of issues related to the use of new materials, new types of body, additives and control systems, costs and quality of materials.
Eurit, the mining company of Gruppo Colorobbia, presented at the conference an interesting study on life-cycle analysis (LCA) of the different categories within ceramic tile production.

CEVISAMA 2008
The 26th edition of CEVISAMA, International Exhibition of Ceramics and Bathrooms will take place in Valencia from 5th to 9th February. The Gruppo Colorobbia will present its proposals at the first big event of 2008 for the ceramic world and related areas, in the fair complex at level N3 - pavilion P6 - stand F162.
QUALICER 2008
QUALICER, the forum for ceramic tile, originated in 1990 when the Castellón Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Navigation, and the College of Industrial Engineers joined hopeful expectations, efforts, and resources in creating an event exclusively dedicated to the ceramic tile sector, a watershed event in the history of such a dynamic and powerful sector, which has been the true engine driving the economy of this Mediterranean province. QUALICER was born as a modest forum for debate on tile as a product; it became a world congress on ceramic tile quality, and later not only addressed the quality of the process, the product, and tile installation, but also the quality of every element involved in the complex network of the ceramic business world.
"BITOSSI CERAMICS. AN ITALIAN HISTORY."
The municipal administration of Manises, Valencia, will present the Bitossi Ceramics Manufactory at the "VIII International Biennale of Ceramics" through the exhibition titled "Bitossi Ceramics. An Italian history." The exhibition that will take place in the premises of the "Casa della Cultura", will be inaugurated on 16th November and will last around mid-January 2008. This initiative marks the outset of the "Fondazione Vittoriano Bitossi" whose main target is the promotion and development of the ceramics history and culture.
The 76 ceramic pieces that will be shown at the exhibition are taken from the Artistic and Industrial Bitossi Museum and from Bitossi Manufactory and illustrate the historical and artistical itinerary of the Manufactory from the 50s until the present time. In particular, there will be present some important works of the master Aldo Londi from the 50s to the 70s, and also the contemporary manufature production as for example "Basic", "Riedizioni anni '50-'70" and "Arkitectura", besides some works of the designers Ettore Sottsass, Fornasetti, Karim Rashid and Arik Levy.
IPPC ENVIRONMENT CERTIFICATION FOR COLOROBBIA ITALIA
The Colorobbia Italia factory in Fiorano Modenese (Italy), has obtained from the Province of Modena the Integrated Pollution, Prevention and Control Certificate (IPPC).The document substitutes, as foreseen by EU norms, the sectorial environment authorizations relative to the emissions into the atmosphere, water and land, generation of waste,, use of raw materials, energy efficiency and noise.
The analysis of the environment carried out by the technicians of the Province and by ARPA (Regional Agency for Prevention, and the Environment of Emilia Romagna) has shown that already the choice of raw materials by Colorobbia Italia privileges those that cause potentially the least damage and offer greater quality, with particular attention being paid to water saving.
The company is furthermore engaged in the realization of an investment programme to further improve the emissions into the atmosphere and noise impact, “in order to demonstrate, as the President Marco Bitossi has said - our engagement with regard to environmentally compatible growth, which for us has always been a strategic objective, above all with regard to atmospheric emissions and noise, two sectors where we have already realized strong investments, concentrating on the use of the most modern technologies”.
CERSAIE 2007
The CERSAIE, the International Exhibition of Ceramics, Architecture and Bathroom Furniture, one of the most important in the world, returns for its 25th edition. Cerasaie is considered by all professionals as the ideal place to present new aesthetic and technological solutions for products, measure up to the architectural and design sectors, meet the world of distribution.
The image of CERSAIE 2007 has been taken care of by Toyo Ito who has been inspired by imaginary grills which for him already cover cities all over the world; a meeting up with nature, an attentive look at problems of biocompatibility of materials which are utilized in the realisation of architectural structures, not ignoring the beauty, art and design, of the project and the design.

MARMOMACC 2007
The 42nd edition of MARMOMACC 2007, the International Exhibition of Marble, Stone, and Technology will be held from the 4th to the 7th of October 2007. It is considered the leading exhibition in the world in the sector of stone and marble and the appointment is one not to be missed by all those producers, operators, decision makers, who wish to affirm themselves in a context that is ever more specialized and competitive.
It is a great window in which it is possible to admire the best of tradition and production innovation, both national and international, the projects realized abroad, the numerous initiatives to promote awareness of the peculiarity and the richness of natural stone, as well as the expressive potential of the use of stone materials in architecture and design.
SAIE 2007
From the 24th to the 28th of October 2007 the Bologna Exhibition will host the 43rd edition of SAIE, the international exhibition of industrial building. The exhibition will permit the professionals of the building world to meet and compare the proposals of the leading companies in the market, evaluating contemporarily the potentiality of products/technology in support of their professional activity.
The knowledge of the sector, comparing the proposals of the leaders of the market, the communication of the "culture to build", these are some of the fundamental points of the 2007 edition of the exhibition which offers interesting novelties, and presents itself as updated and renewed in concept and in product proposal which will be still more current and actual.
BATIMAT 2007
The 26th edition of BATIMAT, one of the major exhibitions dedicated to building will be held in Paris from the 5th to the 10th of November 2007, A real catalyst, the French exhibition provides a vibrant meeting point for the world of construction, 1000 new products, 400,000 visitors expected (80,000 foreigners) and the ever increasing importance of the presence of international exhibitors (coming from 52 countries, they represented ca. one third of the exhibitors in 2005), a real visiting card for BATIMAT.
The theme for the last two consecutive years, has been that of long term development and will cover three aspects: the management of energy, the safety and refurbishing of buildings. The themes will be developed thanks to the organization of some 50 conferences during the Exhibition.
